Figures 1, 2 and 6 are taken from the FAA's ``Instrument Flying
Handbook'', (AC 61.27C) which has good material on this subject. Note
that the new FAA-H-8083-15 has some bogus information on ``dip
compensating weights'', which are not used in standard aviation
compasses.
